Dr. Kenneth A. Douglas serves as Assistant Professor of Music Education at Indiana University South Bend. At IUSB, he co-coordinates the Bachelor of Music Education program, and directs the IU South Bend Wind Ensemble.
He has also directed the IU South Bend Jazz Band, Saxophone Quartet, Woodwind Quintet, and Percussion Ensemble. Additionally, he co-directs of the Twin Cities Concert Band, a Michiana-area community band partnered with IU South Bend.
Ken earned a Ph. D. of Music Education from University of North Carolina – Greensboro and a Master of Music Education from Michigan State University.
He taught general and instrumental music for eight years in California after receiving his Bachelor of Music Education from California State University – Fresno. Ken is also active as a clinician, adjudicator, consultant, performer, and has presented original research at state, national, and international music education conferences, including the United Kingdom, Kuala Lumpur, Australia, and South Africa.
