We are thrilled to announce an exciting new initiative at IU South Bend! The Fellowship String Quartet program will welcome four exceptional string students for a course of intensive study and active community engagement. In addition to regular chamber music coaching and individual lessons with the Euclid Quartet members, Fellows will hold leadership roles in the IUSB Philharmonic and will serve as ambassadors of IUSB throughout the greater Michiana area. Throughout the program, these four students will craft and present educational outreach programs in local schools and partner with local venues and cultural organizations to boost community engagement. The Quartet Fellows will receive high-level training and gain valuable experience as performers and artistic ambassadors, while serving as role models for other music students at the university. The Fellowship Quartet will increase musical outreach in the Michiana region, including underserved communities, and it will significantly raise the level and reputation of the music department at IU South Bend.
