Integrated New Media Studies

The Department of Integrated New Media Studies (INMS) at IU South Bend combines art, design, and communications skills with the mastery of cutting-edge computer technologies. Today’s digital media filled world has created exciting new career opportunities in communication, business, education, and the arts. Current employers actively seek new media practitioners who are able to participate in every phase of project development, from brainstorming and planning through design, programming, production, and distribution. At IU South Bend, INMS majors have the opportunity to prepare for a wide variety of future-oriented careers.

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Integrated New Media Studies with a Group Focus

The B.F.A. in Integrated New Media Studies with a group focus in design, music, or video and motion media is an interdisciplinary degree offering our students maximum flexibility in preparing for their careers. Students pursue their B.F.A. with a traditional minor, augmenting their training in new media with specific, intensive studies in a second, complementary career area.

Bachelor of Arts in Informatics and Interactive Media Arts

The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Informatics and Interactive Media Arts (IIMA) is an innovative interdisciplinary degree program that brings together expertise from Informatics, Computer Science, and New Media. This is a joint program between the Department of Computer and Information Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Department of Integrated New Media Studies in the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts.
