Aspire News for January 2017

Happy 2017 and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous new year. The Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts is already busy with preparations for a busy year’s worth of events and performances.

Come join us as we again partner with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra in a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr on January 16 at 7 pm. We will welcome Chelsea Tipton, III as guest conductor and I will premiere a new trumpet work with Rodney Marsalis. Our choirs will also be a part of that concert. This year, the Martin Luther King, Jr Day Celebration Concert benefits the Minority Teacher Scholarship Fund of the School of Education.

There are many events on our 2017 calendar as we continue to celebrate Unified for 25, our 25th anniversary celebration. We welcome you to join us as we continue to provide opportunities for our students and community to interact and be immersed in artistic endeavors. Stay tuned as our talented and devoted faculty prepare our students for careers in the arts and positive engagement in society.

We invite you to be a part of our Build a Steinway program. We are constantly focusing on creating and growing a learning environment for our students so they can achieve to their highest potential.

A Happy New Year from all of us at the Raclin School of the Arts and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2017!
