As an undergraduate of IU South Bend, Diona Eskew fell in love with the process of learning that lead her to pursue a career of teaching at the college level. While earning her Master’s Degree in Digital Media at Valparaiso University she practiced journalism as a writer, photographer, and editor in Marshall, Starke, and Elkhart Counties.
Having studied New Media and Digital Media through undergraduate and graduate work Eskew was able to incorporate those skills into the newsrooms she worked. Focusing on page layout and design allowed her to use her creative skills while creating news content that was SEO and mobile friendly enhancing the experience for readers.
Personal research includes mobile and social media, environmental communication and humane education. In her free time, Eskew enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her three children, family, friends, and of course her fur babies.
